LIFE TOGETHER

After walking into aisle, living a life of togetherness may not always be as romantic as it is shown in movies. Our expectations rarely match with the  reality.  As we start living under same roof, sharing all moments happy and sad becomes imperative. Over a period of time level of acceptance also increases. With acceptance of the bitter half of the better half, a new perspective opens up. It dawns on to us that nothing else matters, as long as there is mutual love and trust.

Initially,
I thought you were angry,
As time went by,
I realised you were being perfect.
I thought you were lazy,
As time went by,
I realised, you were being tired.
I thought you were rude,
As time went by,
I realised, you were being honest.
I thought, you were on your own.
As time went by,
I realised, you were only giving me my own space.
I thought you were different,
As time went by,
I realised you are unique.
We too had our moments of disagreement
But our mutual love and trust are the key nourishment.
Plenty of memories to ponder
Our two reflections to wonder
Twenty three years of togetherness
Looking forward life with fondness
We complement each other
We are perfect only together
God bless us with choicest blessings.
